Jovan Musk and Leisure Suits
Spritzing half a bottle of Jovan musk on someone takes a long time. We were already running late. But the smell was a crucial element to the morning’s task. Damon and I set off on our journey with a simple task in mind: to hike Camelback Mountain… in leisure suits.
Why? The real question: why not?
Our powder blue and burnt brown suits received their fair share of looks. But the real payoff was the distant cry of a fellow hiker, ”I can smell you from here!” He was literally 75 yards upwind of us. When we hit the summit at 11:00 am Arizona time, one thing was very apparent: polyester was NOT engineered for hiking.

How Fun Applies to You
The bottom line? I want you to have fun when you work with me. And I want to have fun too. Because when people are laughing and smiling, they are more relaxed. And relaxed people produce steadier bodies of work.
This is very true in my drumming. I find that when I’m relaxed, things just very much lock in. And I want to lock things in for you.
